AFC Wimbledon Ladies won a thrilling F A Women's Cup tie to earn a 1st Round trip to Norwich, but the visitors will be kicking themselves for not securing victory after they dominated the early stages.

Haringey dominated the early exchanges with King shooting inches wide and Ferreira bravely denied by Amy Gates, then King lobbed Gates but just wide of the far post and soon King was clean through but shot wide. Ferreira shot wide before the visitors should have been awarded a penalty when Beverley was brought down by Gates, then King shot wide before Haringey got the goal they richly deserved in the 24th minute, Beverley playing Sheena through to score with a composed low shot. After this the Dons began to get into the game, but almost went further behind when King headed down for Ferreira to shoot over from close range. In first half injury time Lisa Couchman's through ball found Laura Topliss for a low shot into the bottom left hand corner for an undeserved equaliser.

The second half was more even although King shot just wide and Gates did well to turn a King shot round the post. Topliss stabbed a close range effort wide before Gates bravely denied King. Haringey went back in front in the 78th minute when Beverley skilfully curled a shot past Gates but within a minute the Dons were level, Laura Smith playing Danielle Davies down the right for a superb cross over Young for Kerry Knott to head home from close range. In the 86th minute Smith played Topliss through to calmly shoot past Young to make it 3-2, and in the closing stages Gates did well to push out a dangerous free kick and Beverley volleyed over from close range as the Dons held out.
